Also known as a chasen, this whisk is designed to help blend matcha powder with water and create a fine layer of foam. The 100-prong design offers a nice balance between control, softness, and froth, making it ideal for usucha, matcha lattes, and everyday whisking.
Choosing your whisk: An 80-prong whisk is slightly stronger and more flexible, making it great for general everyday use. A 100-prong whisk creates a smoother, finer froth and is a lovely all-rounder for both straight matcha and lattes. A 120-prong whisk has finer, more delicate prongs, designed for an even softer whisking feel and very fine foam.
