A smooth, umami-rich shaded green tea from the mountain village of Hoshino in Yame, Fukuoka.
Before harvest, the tea plants are shaded from sunlight to encourage a deeper sweetness and savoury character. Made from the uncommon Yamanoibuki cultivar, this kabusecha produces a vibrant green infusion with a full, silky body and a clean, refreshing finish.
Expect layers of buttery greens, crisp cucumber and sweet pear, lifted by a delicate floral character. Brew with cooler water to highlight its sweetness and umami, or slightly warmer water for a brighter, more vegetal cup.
